Homework#2
1.Death and Funerals:
a. Do you have any international friends or a host family?
If so, how would you express your condolences to them if a family member died?
If not, then how would you express consolences to an American host family if their Grandmother died?
I have some international freinds.
If a family member died, I think that I can't say nothing.
Because I can't express my feeling well.
b. Have you ever been to a foreign funeral?
No, I have never.
2. The language of Clothes (preparation for next weeks topic):
a.Why are Japanese designer label crazy? Why is what you wear so important?
I don't think that Japanese desiner label crazy.
It is so important to wear tidy clothes.
Good appearance make a good impression on a person.
b.What does “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover.” mean to you?
I guess it means "Don't be deceived by appearances."

I think that it is hard to express feelings of sorrow even in your native language. When I went to a foreign funeral, I had no idea what to say so I just kept quiet.
Actually, I can't say anything I think. sometimes cultural differences is really hard for me.
I think some Japanese are crazy about designer label.
And I agree with you. It's important to wear nice clothes.
Sometimes saying nothing is also rude! Always check with a native person as to what to do in certain cultural situations. Good work, again simple answers. You can do better.
